Master Class with Kim Ellington

We are very excited to host Catawba Valley potter, Kim Ellington to our studio. He will be teaching a master class on throwing big and showing several techniques to do so. He will do demonstrations as well as hands on training.

Kim Ellington is from Vale, NC and has been making pottery for many years. He uses local clays, ash glaze and groundhog kilns, a tradition that began in the early 19th century. His adaptation of and proficiency in these time-honored techniques has resulted in his pottery being represented in museums, private collections and ceramic exhibitions throughout the country.
