Intermediate Wheel Class

Intermediate Wheel-Throwing with Expanded Techniques
** Must have taken at least 2 Introductory Pottery Classes and is comfortable centering clay on the potter’s wheel.
This class will focus on expanding the throwing knowledge learned in the introductory classes. We will explore techniques for throwing larger forms, lidded forms, double-wall pieces, adding surface design to pieces and trimming pieces on the potter’s wheel. This class is for students who are ready to develop their own style of ceramics and are encouraged to brainstorm ideas on what they want to make.
Class Fee Includes:
Two-hour weekly class
Clay
Use of studio equipment
Glazes/Materials
Kiln firing access
**Students will be allowed to make-up missed classes that will be subject to a studio fee of $45 per make-up class.
Students will need to bring:
Hand towel and apron
Basic tool set
**It is also recommended to trim your nails, as short as you’re comfortable with, to make working with the clay easier.
